Also confirmed today, is the 2nd season of Bofuri, set to air in January!

Man I REALLY like how the Sceptre stuff was handled here actually. Having Mint actually be the star of the show instead of Ichigo went kinda hard. Still prefer the original though where the Sceptre was physically given to Ichigo rather than have it be formed by Mew Aqua out of thin air. It had pretty hard hitting OST surrounding the moth's defeat too tbh (original).

That all said though, OMG I'M SO HAPPY hearing an original OP remix as the final song! Hit me hard tbh.

As much as I enjoyed this remake, original is still superior. Definitely feel like they rushed some things in this, but eh. Still loved it.

7.5/10 from me. Can't wait for the eventual season 2!

Yep, I was worried we wouldn't see Deep Blue at all.
No Blue Knight, though.

Some parts did seem a bit rush but yeah this seem pretty good twist difference and expectable. Although pace is doing what some good since this 12 eps only covers 20 something chapters of the original manga which is 3 vol's worth.

I still think Bu-Ling's name is actually Pudding, it would make sense alongside Ichigo, Mint, and Lettuce and it sound the exact same as her attack every time so I am convinced.
The plot is definitely B tier but still fun with the 90's vibe and the fact what the Aliens are doing makes exactly 0 sense.

the aliens should have left the polution of the air over to the humans themselfs they do it anyways it would only take a bit longer

i would have preferred they did something like pacific rim did of "humans polluting earth basically terraformed it for the aliens tastes so they now want to get rid of humans because they don't want to share"

I actually really like that they went with the manga and had Mint get the scepter instead of Ichigo because it solidifies her character development here more (making the choice to stay with the Mew Mews instead of going abroad like her brother expected) versus Ichigo getting both the scepter and the battle-ending special attack and Mint just deciding to stay.

I was just surprised Mint / Corrina can now fly.....
Did she fly before in previous chapters?

Also, the "combination attack" for some reaso made me think they would go full super sentai / power rangers and combine their weapons

She's flown in pretty much all their longer battles so far but it may not have been as obvious as this where she flew into the clouds lol

Kish is a damn sexpest. Stop tryna harass Ichigo! I guess this discount lookin Mothra is their secret weapon huh? Seems the girls are in for quite a fight. I like how Bu-Ling treats “Tar Tar” like a little kid who’s being naughty lol.

Let’s go Mint! The girls sure made quick work of those 3 and their little bug. And so once again, the day is saved thanks to the Mew Mew! Plus we get to see Aoyama and Ichigo profess their love for one another. Cute!

With the way this finale ended, I guess there’s still a big bad left to fight. I’m guessing they’ll be exploring that a little more next April when this series returns.

Overall, a pretty decent series. I liked this kind of old school animation. The characters were all very cute and the acting wasn’t half bad for newbies. Glad to see this one coming back

Aoyoma definitely knows. There is no way he doesn't.

Overview so far: As far as this season goes it did more canon choice changes than compared to the original anime and the manga like the scepter going to Mint instead of Ichigo which this seem a good change but prefer Ichigo to stay fair she is post to be the leader of the group and all but it is refreshing. Also the boss villain reveal was post to be before the cocoon arc started instead of after. Also brief changes was the idol disguise to recruit Zakuro instead of the bunnygirl one was most likely to stay in trend of the current year like with the smart phone where is instead of flip phone or ect.
As for pace wise it does seem rush to slow since OG source is only 7 volumes of manga and this last ep right around the end of the 3rd volume (That I still need finish reading btw T_T,)

Any who as for art to visuals of that it's solid and crisp and is a 9/10 from me but the story and all is that of Sailor Moon on a assembly line lolz. And that is more 6/10 wise.
All in all my full rating is 8/10 with bringing back the original theme song from the OG anime.

I just don't feel Ichigo's and Masaya's love at all. It makes no sense why'd they like each other. They haven't had time to talk since it is always about missing the date and fighting villains. Idk, this is a bad remake, TMM deserved better. I will watch the 2ns season ofc, but I am not expecting much

It was a good series and in the and was amazing because different from the original series mint found the mew aqua but they didn't put the song that it was in the original series with that song the end would be more special... that song hits in our heart and something that i didn't like it was they have changed the names of the girls and when they transfom to fight they don't have special names like pretty cure but it was good series now lets wait for the 2 season

People familiar with the original story are already a given, but also people who know what the individual character names mean in Japanese should also be able to figure out.

But then Deep Blue would be... Blue Mountain~
